From singing in church choirs to performing with neighborhood music groups, his early life was steeped in rhythm and storytelling, shaping a style that blends traditional Congolese sounds with contemporary urban beats.
Launching his career in 2016, Paterne Maestro pioneered a style often described as “rap folklorique,” fusing modern rap with his cultural roots. His music carries both energy and heritage, creating songs that speak to everyday life, identity, and Congolese pride.
He has worked with notable artists such as Gaz Mawete, Suspect 95, MC Baba, and Jessy B, producing collaborations that combine diverse African sounds with his signature style. Some of his key tracks include “Na Bomi Moto,” “Oko Lela Epa Ya Nani,” “Peleron,” “Ya Jean,” and “Epayi na biso.”
